Blog this!

Charlene did not attend today's session. She had a run-in with fire ants which caused her hands to blister. Poor thing! I would be such a mean person to have her do the session with me! I am not that cold and cruel. I will have to do two sessions tomorrow and Friday. There is not enough time during the school day to complete two hours' worth. I wanted to blog something tonight or else I will get the "red line." Hahaha...

Obviously, there is little you can learn from doing nothing.

My interpretation is like saying you get nothing from an empty jar! Doing nothing limits a person from gaining success.

  1. Exactly! We can all just stay home and do nothing with our lives, but instead we are trying to better ourselves not only as teachers, but as human beings. Sky's the limit!

  2. Even when I am sitting home on my butt-snort- I am always doing something: usually reading or writing because I love learning new things! We all rock!

  3. A teacher once told me "...if you want to be a good reader, pick up anything and read..." Since then, I have always picked up something to read- newspapers, any freebies, handouts, Newsweek, Cosmo, Reader's Digest, How-to books, "...for Dummies" etc. It makes me know a little of many things.

I also remember that a friend asked me how do I know too much- my response was "Why, don't you read?"

  4. I love all these comments. At least you all were in good spirits last week. Makes up for what I encountered the rest of the week from the appeal. Thanks for the smiles!

Doing nothing gets us nowhere. EXACTLY. Hey Lorna, would you be willing to lend me those 'How-to books' for dummies...I think I might need it! ;-)
