At Last...

"The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when
it comes." --Benjamin Disraeli
Always be ready for anything.
I cannot believe it! It's finally here! Lorna and I both started Spring 2007 and it's Spring 2009. When we first started, we didn't know what classes to take. I
am so glad that we had Dr. Stoicovy to guide us and who made Literacy an interesting subject. My husband and children made a big sacrifice for me to finish and I am very grateful. I have a lot of admiration for people like Charlene S., Cef, and Kate. They're the ones who made the trip to UOG every week during the fall and spring semesters all worthwhile. Sheils, this doesn't mean that you're not special because you are! Your wit in our blogs are worth reading. A lot of praise go to our Professors, Drs. Stoicovy and Rivera. I am glad that the semester is over but a little sad that we won't be meeting up at UOG anymore. Good luck every one in all your future endeavors! We're part of a great team, the Inner Circle.

  1. It's true that it feels like it was only yesterday taking our first class a couple of Spring semesters ago. I remembered walking into Dr. Stocoivy's office for advisement and hearing the graduation semester "Spring 2009." I also remember saying..."Wow, that's too far away." Now I can say, "Wow, it's almost here!"

  2. I feel the same way! I remember walking into my first Language and Literacy class and looking around to see if I knew anyone. I was so relieved that I saw you...a familiar face. We shared our bachelor's and now master's together. Is our Ph.D. in the future?

  4. Ahhh...head tilted to the right (far to the right) and arm swinging back and forth by my side...can you picture it.

All joking aside, I extremely thank you all for giving me this last, culminating experience to wrap up my journey with a great blast. It's been fun!
